Hakan Şahin is an independent researcher and a think-tanker. He has two bachelor degrees in Computer Engineering and Theology. He completed his MA on Business Administration. He is now pursuing a PhD on Islamic Economics & Finance with a thesis titled “Money Production in terms of Economics and Islamic Law”. Şahin worked as General Secretary at certain CSO’s and as project manager and communications systems manager at various private companies. He lectures and publishes on Islam and free market economy, natural rights, civil society, as well as the history of money and banking. He also works with Association for Liberal Thinking, the second most influential think-tank in Turkey. He currently works in Istanbul Medipol University, giving lectures on Economics, Ethics and Islamic History.
