THE FIRST EUROPEAN STUDENTS FOR LIBERTY REGIONAL CONFERENCE IN BOLOGNA
26TH November 2016
UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA
European Students For Liberty invite you to participate in the first Regional conference ever held in Bologna, Italy!
The conference is a great opportunity to meet like-minded students and hear interesting speakers from all around the world. Attendees will not only listen but explore and participate in various discussions.
After the great success of the last European Students For Liberty regional conference in Milan with almost 100 participants, this year we expect even more students from all over the Europe to come to Italy.
Your FREE conference registration includes all meals for the day, as well as a social in the evening. You’ll also have the opportunity to network with pro-liberty students and advocates from all over Europe, as well as access free books and resources.
The language of the conference is Italian. The dress code is business casual.
Note that the registration is free, but it’s mandatory.
The conference will be co-hosted by local group of Students For Liberty Bologna.
Federico Brion: “I think that Bologna will be a great location for an ESFL RC, is a very huge universitarian pole with dozen of thousands of students, a city with a very active and flourishing cultural life.
It’s also easy to reach from all the center-north of Italy, because of it’s strategic position.
Milan has been the core of SFL activities in Italy, but it would be great if ESFL expands it’s range of action in other cities, in particular where there are growing groups, as in Bologna.
Bologna has a strong tradition of communist culture in the city politics and in the university, with the principal opposition represented by right-wing catholic groups.
It would be an innovation for Bologna if our city hosts a pro-liberty conference, outside the previous dominant cultures in the history of the city.
The topics are very interesting as well, freedom of teaching and research are very important because of the statist influence and the intolerance of far-left groups against liberal professors.
The idea of detaxation of women wages is very intelligent, it promotes female’s role in society by work, merit and commitment.”
